Abstract

Resumen

El presente artículo tiene por objeto la comprensión del asentimiento en el poema El sueño de Geroncio, de J. H, Newman. Para ello tomaremos como apoyo el pensamiento de Max Weber, Léon Bloy, así como los escritos teóricos del mismo Newman, entre ellos los relativos a la regla de San Benito, cercana en muchos aspectos a la reflexión del cardenal inglés.

Abstract

This paper is focused on the study of the assent in The Dream of Gerontius, by John Henry Newman. For this purpose, we work with Max Weber and Léon Bloy’s thought, as well as Newman’s theoretical writings. The Rule of Saint Benedict, in the same way, will help us due to its influence in Newman’s thought.
