Abstract
El presente artículo introduce al lector en el estado actualizado (2016) de la cuestión acerca de la sistematización de la doctrina del amor de Agustín de Hipona, concretamente acerca de la doctrina que desarrolla en su comentario a la Epístola de san Juan. A partir de la búsqueda exhaustiva en bases de datos y de la clasificación e interpretación de las referencias encontradas, resulta evidente la necesidad de subsanar el vacío cronológico y epistémico existente. Se concluye el análisis con la perspectiva de corregir dicho vacío mediante un estudio sistemático de la obra que fortalezca los estudios agustinianos en lengua castellana.
This article introduces the reader to the updated (2016) state on the systematization of the doctrine of love of Augustine of Hippo, specifically about the doctrine developed in his commentary on the Epistle of St. John. From the exhaustive search in databases and classification and interpretation of the references found, the need to fill the existing chronological and epistemic vacuum is evident. The analysis ends with a view to correct that gap through a systematic study of the work to strengthen Augustinian studies in Spanish.
