1. Scientific means of knowledge transfer

Cauriensia has a Board of National and International Reviewers of recognised prestige, an International Scientific Committee of 32 international researchers (22 countries: 7 European, 4 American; 1 from the Middle East), experts in the disciplines present in Spanish universities and research centres. The Scientific Committee advises and evaluates the publication, endorsing it scientifically and projecting it internationally. The Editorial Board issues reports, proposes topics and evaluates manuscripts. The Scientific Advisory Board submits the estimated manuscripts for blind evaluation in the publication

Cauriensia is a means of publishing various Research Projects, Research Centres and Groups and Universities, not only to publish articles, but also monographic sections such as the University of Porto de Portugal and the Pontifical University of Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil (vol. VI), the University of Salamanca (vol. VII), the University of Navarra (vols. IX, XI and XII), the Pontifical University of Salamanca (vol. XIII), the Association Escuela Maetafísica de Madrid (vol. XIV), the Pan-American University of Mexico (vol. XV), the University of the Balearic Islands (vol. XVI), the Biblical Association (vol. XVII), the University Loyola Andalucía (vols. XVIII and XX), the University Bernardo O'Higgins of Chile (vol. XVIII), the University of the Andes, Santiago, Chile (vol. XIX)…

Cauriensia offers detailed information to its authors and collaborators about the process of revision of manuscripts and strictly marks criteria, procedures, plan of revision and maximum times: a) Previous phase of estimation/disestimation of manuscripts; b) Phase of evaluation of manuscripts with rejection/acceptance of the same; c) Edition of the texts in preprint (digital) and printed in Spanish and English. Publishes abstracts in the language in which the article is written and in English

Cauriensia accepts manuscripts in various languages for evaluation. Currently, articles have been published in Spanish, Portuguese, French, Italian and English.

    Quality of the editorial process

Cauriensia has maintained its edition of issues with a rigorous periodicity since its birth in 2006. An annual volume is published on a completely regular basis. It maintains, in turn, strict coherence in its editorial line and in the subject matter of the publication. Since 2016, the journal is offered in paper and OJS (e-print).

All work published in Cauriensia is subject to prior evaluation by experts on the Advisory Board and the Editorial Board, as well as Reviewers, independent researchers of prestige in the field (see the corresponding section).

Collaborations reviewed at Cauriensia are subject, as a minimum requirement, to the blind evaluation system, which guarantees anonymity in the review of manuscripts. In the event of discrepancies between the evaluators, further reviews are carried out to determine the viability of the possible edition of the collaborations.

Cauriensia provides reasoned notification of the editorial decision, which includes the reasons for the prior assessment, subsequent revision, with acceptance or rejection of the manuscripts, with summaries of the opinions issued by the external experts.

Cauriensia has an Editorial Board, a Scientific Advisory Board and a list of Evaluators in its organisation. It also has a director and the assistance of staff from the Publications Service of the University of Extremadura as well as the production, editing and distribution management of the Sindéresis Publishing House with offices in Madrid and Porto, and co-published by the Francisco de Vitoria University. This ensures the institutional and commercial network.

The Scientific Advisory Board and the list of Reviewers are made up of professionals and researchers of recognised prestige, with no institutional link to the journal or the publisher, and they are responsible for the evaluation and auditing of the journal.

    3. Scientific quality of the content

The articles published in Cauriensia are basically oriented towards the progress of science in the field of ecclesiastical sciences and disciplines, normally within the arts and humanities and belonging to the social sciences.
