Abstract

This is a balance of American idiosyncrasy, to review the development of its own vision and mission (distinctive ideas and beliefs, rites and symbols, Church-State relations, social awakenings and elitist revitalizations, etc.). This is an interdisciplinary subject dialed by Cultural Studies, which attended the religious factor and its social sphere. Currently, there is a revival of religion, but the Cultural Studies are divided and confronted, so there is no chance to deal with the identity trouble opened under the globalization and its crises. This paper offers an exercise of revelations (to take off confusions), and reconciliations (to look for the least common denominator of American idiosyncrasy).
